YOUTH DAY 2024

Dear Youth Leader,

We are very happy to announce that in conjunction with the 34th Global Celebration of Young People celebrated in Dioceses throughout the world, the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate are hosting a one-day event called “Youth Day 2024”, based on the theme given by Pope Francis “Rejoice in Hope” (Rom 12:12) at our Motherhouse (“Marycrest”) in Monroe, New York August 3, 2024.

“Youth Day 2024” is for teens who are interested in deepening their love for Jesus and their Catholic faith. They will share in various events including: catechesis, worship, music and fun.

The cost of “Youth Day 2024″ is $50.00 per participant (youth or adult). All fees are non-refundable. Included in the fee: two meals (lunch and dinner), snacks, T-shirt, religious articles,  and the conference.

GETTING READY

We will accept registration for youth accompanied by adult chaperones. We are also able to register youth who are willing to be chaperoned by our own safe-environment approved chaperones (our Sisters or adults from other parishes).

There must be a minimum of 1 adult chaperone for every 8 youth. If you are short a chaperone, let us know and we can probably help.

  • Adult Chaperone: someone attending the conference to chaperone youth. Must be 21 years of age or older and compliant with New York Archdiocese Safe Environment policies. This includes a Virtus© or Safer Spaces workshop and background check.
  • Youth: the participants in the conference must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades in the fall of 2024 or be a 2024 high school graduate. (Exceptions can be made for incoming 8th graders who are mature or who are siblings of high school participants.)
  • Completed Registration Form plus $25 deposit per participant reserves your spots.

Because of space constraints at Marycrest, the number of youth participants cannot exceed ninety. We will therefore accept registrations on a “first come, first served” basis.

REGISTRATION FORM

  • scan to pvmi2020@gmail.com OR
  • mail to Sister Mary Josita, PO Box 658, Monroe, NY  10949

[NOTE: Initial deposit of $25 per participant should be sent in the mail after scanning registration form.]

PAYMENT

Checks should be made out to:  Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate and mailed to: Sr. Mary Josita, PO Box 658, Monroe, NY  10949

REFUND POLICY

Due to the limited space at Marycrest, we require a definite commitment from participants. For this reason, all payments are non-refundable. Please pay in full by July 15, 2024.

If some of your group cannot attend, you should try to fill those spots before contacting us. If canceling becomes necessary before the final balance is due, you will owe the total amount only for those still attending the conference. You cannot apply the $25.00 deposits from the canceled spots to the rest of the group’s balance.

We look forward to welcoming you to Marycrest August 3, 2024!
